The Bottom Line
This is a smaller
dating site than some of the big names, but no less well thought out and
run. There is less here for European members, but the US and Canada are
well catered for, and with plenty of new members every day it's very much
worthy of looking at.

Total membership is undisclosed, but there are around a
thousand new members joining every day.
Profile Detail
Average detail, split onto six sections including
lifestyle, physical characteristics, interests, and schooling. A mixture
of selecting pre-defined options and some free text areas to enter your
own details.
Searching
Basic searching which includes location. Advanced searching
lets you specify any profile criteria. There is an option to show only
exact matches or include close matches too. You can elect to have a weekly
email sent telling you of new potential matches. An interesting option is
the ability to perform a quick basic search on only those members who are
logged in at the time - this can be set to auto-refresh - you can wait for
people to come to you. Coverage : Strongly focused on the US, but there
are members from around the world. The site is available in English only.
Safety
Profiles are checked before being posted. You can elect to make
your profile visible only to those you have contacted.
How much can be done for free
You can perform basic searching, including
location based within the US and Canada, and can read profile headlines
including viewing photographs. Free registration allows you to read full
profiles, post your own profile, perform more advanced searching, and
receive emails from other members. If you pay to register then you can
also use the online chat, initiate contact, and view a "daily gallery" of
new members. Subscriptions are available for periods of 1, 2 and 3 months
(discount for 3 months) and there is also a low-cost 7 day trial
subscription option.
Site speed and ease of navigation
Fast enough, without being lightning
speed. Very easy layout, with your own homepage when you log in, from
which you can access all the necessary functions of the site. There is
little in the way of "gloss" such as articles, magazines etc, the emphasis
being on finding and communicating with other members
