The Bottom Line
World Friends takes a
slightly different approach to meeting people. Not a pure dating site as
such, this service is aimed at those who may want to meet people outside

Claimed to be in the millions, although we are a little wary
of this as the service is relatively new. However, the world is a big
place and there is no doubt World Friends is growing fast.
Profile Detail
A combination of standard size / height / weight type
questions, some detail on language ability, language preferences for
potential matches, the type of relationship or match you are looking for
(romance, travel partner etc), and some free text areas to add a bit of
your own personality.
Searching
As well as the usual relationship profile matching criteria
(with all profile options searchable), you can choose to search based on
both language and travel preferences. So if you want to find Spanish
speakers in Asia for example - this is the place to look! Searches can be
saved to be run again at a later date.

Members have the ability to remain anonymous at all times.
Profiles and photos are manually approved before being posted for others
to view.
How much can be done for free
It's necessary to register for free before
you can do anything. Registration is three easy screens and only takes a
few minutes. Once registered you can then perform searches, upload your
photo, receive messages from other members, and send "smiles" (ice
breakers). To send messages it's necessary to upgrade to paid "VIP"
membership unless the person you want to write to has "Open Club"
membership. Standard membership can be purchased for periods of 1, 3, 6,
and 12 months, with generous discounts for the bigger blocks. Open Club
service (which allows free members to email you) can be purchased for
